Getting Ready for the WYCC 2009 |
2009 World Youth Chess Championship is going to take place in Kemer, Antalya between 11-23 November 2009 with approximately 1324 players from 90 different countries. With all the accompanying persons, VIPs, staff of TCF, journalists, coaches etc. more than 2600 people are expected to arrive for this organization in Kemer.

This will be the third largest sports organization in the history of Turkish Republic after 2005 Universiade and the 2007 World Youth Chess Championship. Since the TCF has under its belt the organization of 2007 World Youth Chess Championship, 2008 World Youth Under 16 Chess Olympiad and 2009 World Youth Under 16 Chess Olympiad to name a few, the TCF has a reputation for excellent tournament organization. The TCF personnel is working nonstop for the preparation of the tournament halls, the live broadcasting, the accreditation of the participants and other technical issues to provide the participants the perfect competition environment they are used to.

Meanwhile already some of the countries arrived to Kemer with their groups of players and are registering in at the hotels. The players that have settled previously started getting to know the hotel and the tournament site.
Some of the players began early struggles not on the chessboard but on the tennis table.
Of course a chess player can not do without playing blitz games.
